I followed the fix for pdf files that send as winmail.dat files (change message format to html) and it still did not fix the issue This is only happening for some of my recipients, not all. How else can i fix this

A few of our external contacts get a 'winmail.dat' attachment with every email we send, combining itself with any attachments These contacts use @tiscali.co.uk and @gmail.com email addresses, the tiscali address afaik uses talktalk webmail to access the account, the gmail account uses an apple mail client (type unknown by user). No one i email uses outlook 2016 but me
I searched the posts for winmail.dat and see people being told to set it to plain text or html Some were even told regedit and equally complicated technical things. I am using microsoft office standard 2016 & have recently found from some of my email recipients that email attachments i am sending from my outlook account are being received as winmail.dat
